In
1982 I began training in the Kuroshi-Do System of Martial
Arts. Under the guidance of Hanshi Zato, Hanshi Kumosan Turner and
Kyoshi Muhammad I advanced to my current rank of 5th degree black
belt. Currently the school I teach at is located in the P.A.L.
Center in Brownsville. At the age of forty five , myself and a co
worker William Bennett began studying the martial arts. Our systems
central focus is not only in the self defense aspects but we divulge
a considerable amount of time in the mental development and
educational advancement of our youth. Making them aware of the
unfavorable affects that a life of drugs and juvenile delinquency
may lead to. I have been and assistant instructor at Kwanduks dojo
for several years now. The ages of our students range from 6 years
old up to adults. We have people from all walks of life come through
our doors. Peace offices, actors, educators, entrepreneurs, etc
and it has been a great pleasure for me to be able to show the
youngsters a positive side of life and even at times give adults
some needed advise.
I
am a retired New York City Transit Authority Bus Operator of
twenty five years and a professional barber. I also hold a hold a
driving instructors certificate from NYC technical College. I would
like to give thanks to my wife Grace and children Christine, Troy
Lisa, Darian , and Johnell for standing by me and supporting me. A
great deal of appreciation is sent to my instructors Hanshi Zato,
Hanshi Kumosan Turner, Kyoshi Muhammad, Soke S. Papasan Canty, Soke
Haisan Kaleak for investing so much time in me. I give you all my
love. Lastly but most important to the most high I give all
praises to you for many blessing bestowed upon me daily.
